Meet the Team

William H. Schnieders

Bill is the co-founder of Schnieders Capital Management (SCM) along with his son Jim. He has spent over 50 years in the investment industry; as a broker, analyst, and portfolio manager. He is a graduate of Loyola High School, and later graduated from UC Berkeley, where he majored in finance. He received his MBA from New York University's Graduate School at night, after two years of service in the Military.

Bill began his investment career with Dean Witter in New York, and later became a partner with BWA Associates in Los Angeles. After BWA was purchased in the early 70's, Bill joined Smith Barney as Vice President of their portfolio advisory group. During this time, Bill was also involved as an adjunct professor of finance at the Pepperdine Graduate School of Business Administration. In 1984, Bill joined Paine Webber as a Senior Vice President, Investments, and Senior Portfolio Manager for their portfolio management group, where he was employed until the founding of SCM in 2002.

James F. Schnieders, CFA

Prior to helping found SCM, Jim worked at William O'Neil & Company for nine years. William O'Neil is a highly regarded institutional investment firm and owned one of the world's largest equity research databases. They are also the parent company of the Investor’s Business Daily newspaper. While at William O'Neil, Jim specialized in providing investment research, ideas, and advice to some of the top financial institutions in the United States and Asia. Jim graduated with honors from UCLA and has also earned a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. Jim is a member of the CFA Institute and has been involved with the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts.

John F. Schnieders, CFA, CFP®

John joined SCM as a principal in 2006. Before joining SCM, John worked for 12 years at William O'Neil & Company.  While at William O'Neil, John worked for over two years as an analyst directly with the company's founder Bill O'Neil, and for eight years advising institutional clients in the United States and Canada on the composition and allocation of investment portfolios. John holds a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. Furthermore, John is also a CFP® or Certified Financial Planner helping SCM clients in their personal financial areas. John completed his undergraduate course work at UCLA where he earned Magna Cum Laude honors.

Most of our existing clients will know Wanda for her upbeat attitude and cheerful disposition. Wanda is highly organized and does a great job of handling many different tasks, including day to day client requests. Before working at Schnieders Capital Management in 2002, Wanda had worked as Bill's executive assistant at UBS Paine Webber. Prior to working at UBS Paine Webber, Wanda worked in the administration office at Pacific Alliance Hospital.

Sue is a highly-skilled professional who provides many administrative duties and assists in client services.  She is also SCM’s Chief Compliance Officer. Sue worked at UBS Paine Webber as a Client Service Associate for two years before joining SCM in 2002.

Stacey Alexander-Dunajski

Stacey joined Schnieders Capital Management in 2014 as a part-time administrative assistant and provides back office support and assists with client requests. Stacey also handles the office’s creative tasks having received her MFA in Visual Art from California State University Northridge in 2019.

Zoe joined SCM in 2018 where she assists with administration, back office support, client requests and opening new accounts. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science in 2003 and also has an MBA from Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business and Management in 2006. Zoe has over 12 years of experience in the financial industry and extensive knowledge in project management.
